Legal
Terms of use
Rules for using Silicon Capital research tools, sample data, and waitlists.
Not investment advice
Silicon Capital provides educational research tools and content only. Nothing on this site is investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice. We are not a broker-dealer, RIA, CTA, or automated portfolio manager. Underwriting scores and reports are transparent, rule-based outputs on a curated seed universe — not personalized recommendations. Do your own research and consult qualified professionals.
Illustrative / seed data
Institutional “fund flow” and ownership views are built from seed, illustrative, 13F-style datasets for product demonstration and education. They are not a live SEC EDGAR feed, not real-time “smart money” signals, and may lag, omit managers, or differ from actual filings. Do not trade solely on these screens.
Company underwriting scorecards use structured seed attributes (stack roles, peers, cycle tags) plus deterministic checklist logic — not a guarantee of future performance.
Acceptable use
- Use free tools for personal research and evaluation.
- Do not abuse APIs (scraping at scale, DDoS, credential stuffing, or bypassing limits).
- Do not reverse-engineer or rehost our stack taxonomy, scorecards, or sample packs as a competing commercial data product without a license.
- Sample data packs are under the non-commercial sample license unless you have a written commercial agreement — see the data catalog.
Waitlists & communications
Joining a waitlist consents to product-related email at a low volume. You may unsubscribe at any time. See Privacy.
Course & paid offers
Course checkout may be handled by a third-party merchant (e.g. Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy). Their terms and refund policies apply to purchases. Curriculum and pricing may change before or after launch.
No warranty
The site and tools are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free service (including free-tier host spin-down).
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Silicon Capital and its operators are not liable for any investment losses, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site, tools, sample data, or content.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after the “Last updated” date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
